# Where the Light Remains

## Program notes

An intimate cello piece moves from shadow toward warmth. The accompanying film places Tessa in a conservatory, where the instrument's warm wood and the gathering light share the same visual language.

## About the sheet music

The downloadable score is a solo-cello performance arrangement credited to R8C3R, prepared for Tessa Brio. It contains 55 measures in 4/4, with an approximate quarter-note tempo of 75, an estimated G-minor tonal center and a written range of C2 to C5.

The arrangement was generated from the mastered stereo recording and simplified into a playable melodic line. It is not a note-for-note transcription or an isolated studio cello part. Structural and engraving checks passed; a musician's final review is recommended when exact pitches, bowings or fingerings are required. The MusicXML is the editable score, and the MIDI is a reference for the arrangement rather than the finished recording.

## Performance notes

Use a warm, unforced core and let sustained notes bloom after the attack. Connect bow changes gently. Begin with a narrow vibrato, broaden the color through the central rise, then let it withdraw in the coda. Let the phrase breathe rather than treating the rhythmic grid mechanically.

| Section | Measures | Character |
|---|---|---|
| A | 1-10 | Lontano, semplice: quiet, distant and resonant |
| B | 11-20 | Dolce, cantabile: connected, singing phrases |
| C | 21-30 | Poco animato: clearer motion with a broad pulse |
| D | 31-41 | Con intensita: build through contact point and vibrato |
| E | 42-49 | Luminoso: focused, generous tone |
| F | 50-55 | Coda - morendo: release weight without a hard cutoff |

Compare exposed passages with the recording by ear, and choose a natural bow plan for the written line.
